Virtual Access Courses

CASTI is proud to announce the availability of Virtual Access to our training courses.

What is Virtual Access?

Virtual Access allows participants to virtually attend our in-classroom training courses through online meetings offered by Cisco Webex Meetings. Virtual Access participants can watch from the comfort of their own homes/offices as the instructor presents the Classroom training course.

Approximately 1 week prior to the Virtual Access training days, participants will receive an email invitation to join the online meeting. On the scheduled Virtual Access training days, use the email invitation to log in and join the online meeting.

How does Virtual Access work?

You register for Virtual Access on the CASTI website. Approximately 1 week prior to the Virtual Access training days, participants will receive an email invitation to join the online meeting. On the scheduled Virtual Access training days, use the email invitation log in and join the online meeting.

How is Virtual Access different from Online Courses?

Virtual Access: participants view and interact with the instructor via an online video meeting. In some cases, online lessons are also provided to supplement the instructor-led online video meeting.

Online Training: participants complete online lessons by reading training material and completing practice questions at a self-directed pace

[1] For API exam preparation online courses, the online lessons are available until the end of the API exam window. For other online courses, the online lessons are available for a period of 6 months from date of registration.
[2] Some Classroom and some Virtual Access training courses are supplemented by online lessons where appropriate for the subject matter.
What do you need to participate in Virtual Access?

To participate in a Virtual Access course, you need a device campatible with Cisco Webex Meetings. The device can be a desktop computer, laptop computer, or tablet. We recommend choosing a device such as a desktop or laptop computer because the larger screen will allow greater viewing comfort over the duration of the Virtual Access training course. Your chosen device must have working speakers (so you can hear the instructor) and a working microphone (if you wish to participate verbally). You may, optionally, activate your device's camera but this is not a requirement for participation.
